About Us
Dedicated to Community Participation
We began the essay contest as way to help support our local public schools with an intriguing concept, that a local business can partner with neighborhood schools and foster a stronger community for everyone.
Contest Theme
The theme, "If I Could Be A Part Of A Car, What Would I Be", is apt for a contest sponsored by an auto body repair shop. For the students it is an introduction into how things work, and work together to achieve goals.

Our mission is to embrace the pursuit of excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Our contest encourages critical thinking and emphasizes the creative process.

General Rules
The contest is open to all NYC 5th grade students. All essays must be submitted through the student's school. Each school may submit up to 12 entries.
There is no cost for entry.
Deadline Schedule
Entries may be submitted beginning April 1, 2022 and must be received by June 1, 2022. The contest results will be announced on June 14, 2022.
Criteria
All entries must include the students name, classroom, and school name on top. Maximum length is two pages.
Criteria for judgment include correct grammar, spelling and concise language. We also like a sense of humor!
Award Presentation
The award-winning student will receive an award certificate and a $50.00 scholarship award at the school graduation ceremony, presented by the contest creator, Brian Nacht.
The grand prize winner will receive a $250.00 scholarship award.
